Is Counselling Right for You?

You don’t need to be in crisis to seek counselling.

Counselling can provide a safe, confidential space to talk through things that are affecting how you feel, think or cope with everyday life. You may be dealing with something specific, or simply feel that things have become difficult to manage on your own.

You might be considering counselling if you are experiencing:

Anxiety Or Stress

Feeling overwhelmed, constantly worried or finding it difficult to switch off.

Changes In Your Relationships

Struggling with communication, conflict or changes within a relationship.

Pregnancy, Parenthood Or Pregnancy Loss

Finding the emotional side of pregnancy, fertility, birth or becoming a parent difficult to navigate.

Loss, Trauma Or Major Life Changes

Trying to process a difficult experience, bereavement or a significant change in your life.

Low Mood Or Feeling Stuck

Feeling disconnected, lacking motivation or unsure how to move forward.

If you’re unsure whether counselling could help, you’re welcome to get in touch for a free 15-minute consultation.

A little about me

As a retired midwife and now a person-centred counsellor I offer humanistic, holistic therapy and support for a wide variety of situations. This work is for individuals and also for couples counselling.

If you are dealing with stress, pregnancy issues, anxiety, low mood, bereavement, bullying, trauma, family issues, lack of self-esteem, current or historic abuse I can help you find a way forward. From time to time everyone struggles and together we can find a way forward that improves how you feel.

I provide person-centred counselling in my office in the centre of Aberdeen. Person-centred counselling is focused on the right solution for you, you are unique and so is the solution. I am committed to helping people find the best outcome. I am a BACP-accredited counsellor and trained couples counsellor.

In addition to supporting all individuals navigating perinatal experiences, I also offer a safe, affirming space for LGBTQ+ parents and families, recognising and respecting the unique journeys to parenthood.
